Re: Updated Code fix for the AutoUpdate (Scoring) Feature
Not dumb, just not something you have to update on a regular basis, glad that fixed it!

Re: Updated Code fix for the AutoUpdate (Scoring) Feature
Did you update it to have the 2015 date in the "updatescores.asp" files from 2014? If not that would try and pull scores from last years games and not this year.

Re: Updated Code fix for the AutoUpdate (Scoring) Feature
Working for me without any issues so far today, including the O.T. game. Are you using the code from this thread, or did you download and use Mike's code? I know Mike updated it last year, but I wonder if maybe he reverted back to old code somehow? I just ported over my old code from last years pool...

Re: Updated Code fix for the AutoUpdate (Scoring) Feature
I always leave my PC on at home, so this isn't an issue for me. You could also try it on a phone and put it in the mobile browser and then just shrink that down on the phone and see if it runs in the background, not sure how that would go.

Re: Updated Code fix for the AutoUpdate (Scoring) Feature
No, the process is just to click the "auto update" button and then everything else happens on its own. You just need to leave the web page up for it to function. You do not have to hit load or update at all if you are using auto-update. I don't about setting it to be on by default. I just ...

Good post, maybe Mike, or someone else that has had paypal working and understands it can look in to updating. I have no idea how to do this if I am being honest, but again, thanks for posting it.

Re: Email Users Who Havent Made Their Picks
Yea, not a big deal and I don't think it will be an issue moving forward, but thought I would point it out in case anyone has people that like to make picks, then remove them and might not make it on the email list is all. Like I said probably won't affect my pool though. Thanks again for the code, ...

Re: Email Users Who Havent Made Their Picks
I just installed this and the only problem I see is that if you put in picks and then clear them out there is still some kind of entry for you in the database and then it isn't showing up on this page. I only did that because it is before week-1 and I had a test user in and a test pick to check on s...

Re: Forgot Password Mod
This works for me, but I was using gmail as my provider and I had to update one other place, the email.asp file in the "includes" directory. I changed this line: cdoMessage.TextBody = bodyText To be this: cdoMessage.HTMLBody = bodyText This allows the email to come in HTML format and all t...

Re: Somee and Eastern Time Zone Display
This isn't directly related to this, but if you get things to sync up time wise from your server to the actual game times but the display on your program is wrong you can run this time.zip file on your site, see this other thread about this, maybe it will be of some use to someone again. http://phil...

Re: MYSQL Help
I really can't offer any help on the MySQL portion, but an alternative would be to keep using the Access version and just find a free host. There are a few out there that offer free hosting for .ASP stuff.

Re: Mobile Friendly
I haven't heard of anyone doing it, but most phones now have full browsers and it really doesn't seem to bother me too much, but that is personal preference. I don't have the CSS knowledge to do it either, but maybe someone will.

Re: How many users can this handle?
I don't know a definite answer, but 50 is not a lot of users for something like this. I had around that number and never had an issue. I'm sure it could take upwards of 10,000 if I am being honest.

Re: 2015 schedule
No, I just tried and I can't either. I think my entire web site, not just this board may have been hacked to the point of someone adding code to files that is causing issues like this. As far as I know nothing else was affected, meaning no passwords or other information were accessed, so no issues t...

Re: Query on set up this project on local pc
I am sorry I can't help in that area, I would personally just use an internet site and just don't give out the website until you are ready. There are free web hosting options out that that support .ASP, find one and try it on there.

Re: Query on set up this project on local pc
You would need to setup your PC to be an .ASP Web server to do that, which wouldn't be that easy to do. Why don't you want it on the Internet how does it do you any good having only on your PC, no one else but you can get on your PC.

Re: IIS7.5 (Windows 2008 R2) setup instruction
I would agree it is a permissions error. I don't set my server stuff up, I have a friend that has a windows server (.asp stuff) so he does that all for me. Double check your permissions, that sure seems to be the issue.
