Move from 2.3 to 3.0

I've got the 2.3 version up and running and users are creating signons and starting to enter picks. Is it possible to upgrade to 3.0 without impacting my users?

If you have Microsoft Access, you can take the Users table from your 2.3 database and import it into the new version's database. Getting the picks over won't be as easy since those tables have changed.
If you do copy over the Users table, you'll need to be sure to set DATA_ENCRYPTION_KEY in the new includes/config.asp file to the same value you have in your current includes/common.as file (so the existing user data can be properly unencrypted).
You can copy the Picks table over as well, but it needs to be renamed to WeeklyPicks. If you're running the survivor/margin pool, you can copy over the SidePicks table but you'll then have to manually add a new column named SurvivorBuyback (as a Yes/No datatype).
Of course, you'll have to keep people from signing up or making picks while you do all this.
